Things to think about
Hachnasat OrchimWelcoming Visitors to B'nai ZionOn March 13 & 14, we’ll welcome 25 students (8-12th grade) and 5 staff from Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills, Michigan. As part of their Hebrew High School program, the students will be visiting the Children’s Holocaust Memorial in Whitwell and then spending Shabbat here at B’nai Zion. We are looking for several community members to house the students for Shabbat (Friday night only). Please contact Jason Cathcart if you are able to host 2 or more students. Thanks in advance for making them feel welcome in our Kehilah Kedosha (Holy Community).
Cough and Cold and Flu, Oh my! It’s the time of year when many people are facing illness. Please remember, if your child is sick enough to stay home from their public/private school, they should also stay home from Hebrew school. If your child is not planning on coming to BSI this week, please let us know by clicking here. If you have any questions, please contact Jason.
Our new attendance program requires all students to attend a minimum of 12 Shabbat services at our synagogue in the course of any given year. These include Jr. Congregation, Friday nights or Saturday mornings. Any student meeting this goal will receive the Jr. Congregation Honor Roll prize at the end of the year
